Between 8am – 5pm, I’m a web designer and account manager for an
interactive design agency based in Randburg, Johannesburg. After hours
I’m a personal trainer and boxercise instructor at TeamChaz
Training Studio, a private gym based in Randpark Ridge. I specialise in
body shaping, fitness and weight loss. I truly love boxercise because
it’s such a high energy workout and I combine that with high energy
music.
It’s really a great workout with an awesome vibe and it’s a superb way
to relieve stress.
I am currently one of the G.I.LEAN sponsored athletes. It is a
tremendous honour and benefit for me to be part of and be associated
with the GI LEAN brand as I undoubtedly consider it one of the best
brands in the SA health and fitness industry.
I believe that one should approach exercise like you would a new
business venture - it’s a process rather than an event, which you build
brick by brick until finally you’ve built a magnificent piece of
architecture – or in this case - anatomy. Treat your training time like
an important business meeting or task that you simply cannot miss!
I have learned the value of planning ahead and
being prepared. I’ve learned to plan my meals and my fitness routine
along with my work schedule and leisure time. This systematic approach
has filtered into all aspects of my life, to the delight of colleagues,
friends and family.
I haven’t forgotten the value of fun though, and I allow myself 1 day in
the week to "cheat". This is very important as it gives my body and mind
a rest. I highly recommend this. But I'm sensible with my decision and
do not go too overboard.
I never tire of the exhilarating high I experience after a good
workout. Working out has made me very strong both physically and
mentally and it’s given me the confidence to know I can do anything I
set out to do.
Then there are the enormous health benefits that motivate me. It
definitely aids in slowing down the aging process. Basically I see
training as an investment in my future health!
More than anything, my passion for fitness has turned a negative
self-perception into a very positive one.
My life’s philosophy is that you’re never too old to set yourself
another goal, to dream a new dream. And there’s no time like now to
start.
I believe we live to serve. If my experience and the knowledge I’ve
gained can serve someone well, I consider it worth sharing.
Final last words. . .
Trust in God and have Him close by your side all the time.
Always apply yourself a 100% and be prepared to work HARD!
